How do you stay fit as someone with a busy schedule? Zoe ********************************************** Hi Zoe – Thanks for your question. I think the answer really is that I have to book time into my schedule and really commit to staying on that schedule. Otherwise I know that I will try my best to get out of it after a long day! I also like to go to group sessions – that way I know there are people who are expecting me to be at each class, and will chase me up if I miss a session. I’ve found a yoga class locally that I love – I think that the further away a class is, the easier it is to find an excuse to skip it! I sign up for classes a term in advance, so that gives me an extra motivation too.
I also try and walk whenever I can- I like to get up in the morning and go for a long walk or run, particularly on these beautifully crisp winter mornings. If there’s a journey that’s not too far to walk, I will try and do that instead of getting the bus. I think really fitness is about picking achievable goals and slowly building them into your life in ways that aren’t totally overwhelming. That way it becomes part of your daily routine. Lastly, on days where I really feel too tired or busy to do anything, I have a 15-minute yoga routine video that I can do on my own just before bed. Best of luck Zoe, Sarah-Lou xxx
