Summer Holiday Checklist
When you’re working hard you need to make sure you’re also taking some me-time - a holiday for yourself! As a businesswoman myself, I know the importance of self-care, especially when it can feel like your time is always taken up by looking after those around you! Here are the things I make sure to do when I’m relaxing, my summer holiday checklist: 1) Spend some time in nature! Living in London or for our many customers in Hong Kong and all over the world, it is easy to forget how tense city life can make you. I make an effort to stop working, go to somewhere green and be in the moment. Don’t forget: a picnic, a ball, and your pocket-sized Alfresco! 2) Take time for tea!

I like to invite friends round, or even by myself, for a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. It’s good to simply sit and spend quality time with a person, all over a delicious cup of tea. Don’t forget: take it slowly, enjoy a wide variety, and of course something sweet on the side! 3) Watch the sunset!
Santa Monica, i miss you!
Spend a long evening al fresco with the people you love. I have fond memories of times with friends on the beach at Santa Monica, L.A., early evening by the sea with a guitar (not me playing!). Take advantage of the warm evenings- with Alfresco you’re guaranteed a bug-free romantic scent too. Don’t forget: leave the phone at home but bring the bottle of wine, a guitar, and your Acqua d’Alfresco. 4) Listen to some music.
Friend and musician Duncan Swale.
I always feel inspired and reinvigorated by my favourite songs, especially if I hear them live. I love to go to music festivals, this year I’ve been at Latitude, Secret Garden Party and Womad. Don’t forget: earplugs, a tent, wellies and your 50ml Anti Bug Bite Moisturiser. 5) Eat something delicious. Treat yourself to a meal out catching up with friends. During a recent trip to Hong Kong I ate an unforgettable meal at Yardbird. The trip was a fabulous opportunity for me to meet some of my wonderful customers in Hong Kong. Our distributor in Hong Kong now takes good care of you all! I’m looking forward to returning the favour and showing her the amazing food on offer in London when she comes to visit next month. Don’t forget: take a friend and a credit card!
