Alfresco: a beautiful perfumed insect repellent!
Friends often ask me what perfume I’m wearing, and the answer is always Alfresco! I use both the Alfresco moisturizer and the Acqua d’Alfresco mists everyday. Customers say they love Alfresco because as well as protecting them from insects, it also keeps them smelling good, as it is a perfumed insect repellent.
Cedar wood
Alfresco is made by a perfume house founded in 1730 – clearly we are more than just a standard insect repellent! Our Acqua d’Alfresco is a fragrance and a perfume spray that contains a unique blend of over 20 essential oils. These oils are the special ingredients that make Alfresco a beautifully and delicately perfumed insect repellent. It smells floral, rich, warm spicy and musky at the same time. It is calming and refreshing, making it a wonderfully perfumed insect repellent.
Perfumed insect repellent loved by our customers
One customer said, “I like the smell and love that it just replaces my usual moisturiser and fragrance rather than being an extra product to pile on.” Jane is right! It can be used as a fragrance by itself even when there are no insects around!
The beautiful cinnamon tree!
Patchouli at the Chelsea Physic Garden
The topnotes comprise Italian Lemon, Brazilian Sweet Orange and Paraguayan Petitgrain with a hint of Chinese Geranium. The heart notes are rosy and lilac and contain Geraniol and Terpineol noted for their natural insect & bug repellent properties. The base notes are also laced with essential oils of known insect repellent nature – namely Cedarwood, Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Patchouli. Patchouli is one of my absolute favourite scents, I love to use it in a burner or use the leaves to make herbal tea. Cedarwood is one of the oldest plants around – cedars are mentioned in the Bible! It has fabulous properties, which make it perfect in Alfresco products. Additional oils of French Lavender and Citronella from Ceylon enhance the overall scent and confer additional insect repellent activity. So many plants and so much care has gone into each bottle of Alfresco, it is a natural perfumed insect repellent you can always rely on.
